Weekly Happies - Vol. 11
THINGS THAT BROUGHT ME JOY, MADE ME SMILE, FAVORITE THINGS...
- Mother Mule Goes On Tour. My first in-person school event was a HUGE success, and I’m still on cloud nine. What a day.
- Second Annual Bike Parade. Max asked to have a neighborhood bike parade last year, and it was such a special event, we decided to do it again! It is such a sweet tradition, I hope we can carry it on.
- Max’s Baseball Game. Lots of family joined in the fun, and Max had two epic hits. The first one was especially memorable, and not very enjoyable for Coach Dad.
- After Dinner Walks. We’ve started a nightly tradition of walking or riding bikes to the new athletic fields after dinner, and it is perfection. There is something so magical about cool grass and bare feet.
- Gettin’ My Hair Did. I mean, is this not the greatest? There is nothing like a fresh ‘do.
- Reverse Face Mask. It’s been a bit since I’ve indulged in a face mask, and this one felt heavenly last night. But, it’s impossible not to say, “I love gold,” from Austin Powers whenever I put it on.
- For the Love Podcast. I loved Jen Hatmaker’s interview with Jennifer Garner. Has anyone created a “Yes Day” with their families?
- Mother Mule Read Aloud. An Instagram friend created the most beautiful read aloud of Mother Mule on her YouTube channel. I can’t help but smile listening to the special sound effects and accents.
- Hawaii. We are only two weeks away from our vacation!! I can’t wait to get a pineapple soft serve from the Maui Pineapple Store, and a Mai Tyler at Fleetwoods.
- Pop-Up Signing. I’ve got my first local book signing scheduled for Saturday, and I am so excited!
